Doctorate of Musical Arts in Bassoon Performance and Pedagogy University of Colorado Boulder

Awarded tuition assistant position for two years. Co-director for the CU Bassoon Studio while Dr. Yoshiyuki Ishikawa was on sabbatical. Duties included: performing in Wind Symphony, University Symphony Orchestra, and Opera; scheduling and running Bassoon Performance Class; assisting with Reed Making Class; assisting with scheduling lessons and guest artists visits; teaching undergraduate lessons.

Awarded tuition assistance position with Dr. Jeffrey Nytch and Entrepreneurship Center for Music. Duties included: managing Canvas, grading, taking attendance, and teaching class.

Located in the the charming small town of Longmont, Colorado, Guitars Etc. is located at on the east side of Main Street bewteen 4th and 5th at street address 460A. Established in 1993, Guitars Etc. serves a loyal local customer base, providing quality musical gear for musicians of every playing level and at reasonable prices. Additionally, our web presence has earned Guitars Etc a growing virtual customer base with both domestic and international customers.

Guitars Etc. also offers a well-established and proven lessons program with over 450 students learning from instructors for guitar, bass, drums/percussion, mandolin, banjo, piano, and band and orchestra instruments and for all styles of music.

December 2018

Masters in Music Colorado State University

1st Place in the Colorado State University Concerto Competition and performed Andre Jolivet's Bassoon Concerto with the University Orchestra. Received many opportunities to teach undergraduate and graduate students as well as direct Colorado State University's Bassoon Studio.

August 2011 to June 2015

United States Navy Band

Navy Band Northeast, Rhode Island
US Naval Forces Europe, Italy
Performed in wind ensembles, wind octet, woodwind quintet and trio. Featured soloist with the wind ensemble. Received two Navy and Marine Achievement Medals for musical excellence, dedication, and chamber ensemble arrangements.

May 2011

Bachelor in Music Colorado State University

1st Place in the Colorado State University Concerto Competition and performed Carl Maria von Weber's Bassoon Concerto with the University Orchestra. Recipient of the Wendel Diebel Music Performance Award for musical excellence and consistency.
